As a relatively new tarot reader who's much more into the guided reflection and mindfulness of the practice than any supernatural element, I've really enjoyed this book! Veste grafica deliziosa, ma testi a tratti un po’ fumosi。 Non un brutto libro, ma c’è decisamente di meglio sul mercato。

I love the aesthetically pleasing layout, explanations, and artwork。 It had several pages of spread layouts and throughout the book were examples of real-life readings。 It was clear, easy to understand, and offered interpretations, reflections, and actions on both the inversed and reversed positions of the cards。

This is the perfect book for those who are interested in learning to read tarot cards。 Most of my books are from the library, but I would put down money for this book。Not too detailed to put one off, but can be used by those with more than a beginner's experience - not quite moderate。 There are easy to read definitions for each card, and nifty, easy to remember definitions for court cards: Pages (children), Knights (teenagers), Queens (mothers), Kings (fathers)。 The Page and Knight descriptions This is the perfect book for those who are interested in learning to read tarot cards。 Most of my books are from the library, but I would put down money for this book。Not too detailed to put one off, but can be used by those with more than a beginner's experience - not quite moderate。 There are easy to read definitions for each card, and nifty, easy to remember definitions for court cards: Pages (children), Knights (teenagers), Queens (mothers), Kings (fathers)。 The Page and Knight descriptions were a new insight to me and made perfect sense after thinking on it a while。 There are spreads, definitions for spreads, explanations on how to build your own spreads, and real-life examples of spreads and their interpretations。 If there is only one book you need to start your tarot journey, this is it。 。。。more

Very informative。 Enjoyed it。

Very good book! Not perfect, but I really like the way they approached card interpretations, and the production is lovely。 Huge bummer that there weren’t individual illustrations for each minor arcana (apart from the Marseilles style)。 Not my Top beginner’s recommendation, but certainly worth it if you’re looking to add quality to your collection or giving as a gift。

5 stars for a fantastic tarot reference! Great for beginners who want to understand each card's meanings, spread ideas, and how to think about a given spread with real life examples。 5 stars for a fantastic tarot reference! Very nice, simple, & straightforward reference book for the tarot。 Love the larger size of the hardcover book because it’s easier for me to read, see the pics, and flip through whilst trying to learn to do a card spread lol。

A solid "here's what each card means" resource with the focus on reflection rather than magic or fortunetelling。 I enjoy the interpretation/reflection/action format of each card's entry, and the discussion of reversed cards is better than many books。 I also enjoy the "real life readings" sprinkled throughout the book。 Not much here engages with the history and legacies of the cards - the given history is minimal and there's no engagement with questions of gender/race/etc。 The seeker-as-Fool is d A solid "here's what each card means" resource with the focus on reflection rather than magic or fortunetelling。 I enjoy the interpretation/reflection/action format of each card's entry, and the discussion of reversed cards is better than many books。 I also enjoy the "real life readings" sprinkled throughout the book。 Not much here engages with the history and legacies of the cards - the given history is minimal and there's no engagement with questions of gender/race/etc。 The seeker-as-Fool is described with "he" and "she" throughout (alternating to match the artwork in the book, which is abstract but generally pleasant)。 Overall: unremarkable in many ways, but a good basic guide for interpreting the cards as a tool for self-reflection。 。。。more

Got this from a library, and it’s definitely more of a book that you need to purchase。 Would be so great to have on hand for reference during tarot readings。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Tarot by Tina Gong is a great addition to any readers library。 Her book includes card pictures and descriptions, tarot history, and spreads。 The layout is fairly typical for tarot books。 I enjoyed her interpretation of cards for upright and reverse and how she incorporates conscious, unconscious and super conscious catagories for the Major Arcana cards。 Something unique in this book is how she tackles court cards and adds focus, event and action for each one。 That's unique and I really enjoyed h Tarot by Tina Gong is a great addition to any readers library。 Her book includes card pictures and descriptions, tarot history, and spreads。 The layout is fairly typical for tarot books。 I enjoyed her interpretation of cards for upright and reverse and how she incorporates conscious, unconscious and super conscious catagories for the Major Arcana cards。 Something unique in this book is how she tackles court cards and adds focus, event and action for each one。 That's unique and I really enjoyed how it helped me, a seasoned reader, better understand the court cards。 Thanks to netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest opinion。 。。。more

Beautiful, well-organized book covering meanings of tarot cards, spreads, and ways to create your own spreads。 Loved the color pictures of individual cards as well as the sample spreads for reference learning。

I love the deck that this comes with。 It explains how to do different spreads and how to basically start reading tarot。 I feel like the card definitions are very basic level and eventually they don't seem very versatile as you try to do different reads。 But it is a good book to get you started。 I ended up getting a different book to help me understand the different cards to deeper level。 I love the deck that this comes with。 It explains how to do different spreads and how to basically start reading tarot。 I feel like the card definitions are very basic level and eventually they don't seem very versatile as you try to do different reads。 But it is a good book to get you started。 I ended up getting a different book to help me understand the different cards to deeper level。 。。。more

A beautiful book on the tarot by Tina Gong。 I loved the modern take on the cards and the simplistic/clean look to the book itself。 I loved the multiple examples of three card spreads, definitely something I will add to my own tarot reading practice。 The cards themselves were broken down by number, suit and theme。 They were described in straight forward way that could be applied to any tarot deck, traditional or modern。 A lovely book for both the new or intermediate tarot reader。

For someone who knows nothing about tarot, this was a deep and informative guide。 I imagine even for someone more advanced, this would be great to have on hand。 I actually got interested in tarot as a writer, as many use tarot to create and expand upon their fictional characters。 This is a great book even for that for people who wan to learn more or delve deep。 Photos, with examples of using the cards, guidelines, and explanations make this an easy, interesting, and informative read。 This would For someone who knows nothing about tarot, this was a deep and informative guide。 I imagine even for someone more advanced, this would be great to have on hand。 I actually got interested in tarot as a writer, as many use tarot to create and expand upon their fictional characters。 This is a great book even for that for people who wan to learn more or delve deep。 Photos, with examples of using the cards, guidelines, and explanations make this an easy, interesting, and informative read。 This would also make a great gift for my friend。 Thank you to Netgalley, the author, and the publisher for allowing me to read and review。 。。。more

Gong further breaks down the deck in terms of numerology, consciousness, and the minor and major arcana。 I particular appreciated the breakdown of suits and upright v reversed and how to intuit the images on the cards to get the message being told。 I think reading this book helped me to better look at the whole picture of the spread and tie it together with the individual messages of the cards。 After presenting different spreads to complete, Gong included some examples of spreads with cards and interpreted them based on a fictional persons’s queries。 This helped me learn how to see the whole picture as previously mentioned。I would recommend this book for those curious about tarot or those wanting to learn to intuit their own readings a little better。I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review。 Thanks to NetGalley and DK for the copy! 。。。more

This is 100% the book I wish I had when I first started off reading tarot! I loved the way each card was broken down。 It gives you a decent amount of info while still giving you room for your own interpretations。 The artwork for the matching deck featured in the book is beautiful!!

When I buy a tarot book I’m looking for in depth analysis on individual cards and meanings that work within the deck。 I found the details of this books to be well thought out。
